Make believe make sense make meaning make real
Making sense makes much more sense than making meaning.
PlayfulProcess, on a walk, October 2026
Spirals that come together and fade and become one, become trees… a tree of spirals, and from the tree of spirals other trees of spirals grow, and sometimes everything disappears and it’s just a seed.
Two coins
Make-meaning is the whole recursive.eco process: one side of the coin, and on the other side of the coin, make-real. And on one side make-believe, and on the other, make-sense. And all of that recursively dancing.
If you think about make-believe as what imagination can do, how can imagination be tested into make-meaning? Both of them are the mind.
For life to be truly arts and sciences together, in this playful nonsense of a dance that is just meant to be pretty, for the fun of it… science requires experiment.
That is making sense more than making meaning.
Imagination first, then test some hypotheses. The ultimate test is how I can put it to the test in my own life.
What survives are actually the patterns that we create.
PlayfulProcess, from Līlā, divine play: “really lilac, therefore the purple.”
Every spiral here comes from the spiral lab. The wave curls grow in the spiral garden.
